Nvidia Partner SMC Raising $950M for AI Server Boom 🚀

A startups in data center business from Singapore – Sustainable Metal Cloud (SMC), plans to invest around $950 million globally due to the rise of demand due to Artificial Intelligence. This firm, associated with the Australian Firmus Technologies Company, is applying the last touches on equity funding amounting to $400 Million and $550 Million in debt. SMC that has the capability to offer direct access to new generation Nvidia chips used for AI related work is looking at the possibility to diversify data centre business outside Singapore. Presently, SMC employs over 1,200 of Nvidia’s H100 AI chips and intends to have 5000 before the end of the year. It also has cutting edge cooling system that cuts on energy consumption by approximately 50 percent. SMC is an Australian based company that operates in the Asia-Pacific data center market which is deemed to experience high investments and growth in the next five years with the support of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres.
