Octopuses Have Three Hearts

Did you know that octopuses have three hearts? 🐙❤️❤️❤️ Two pump blood to the gills, while the third pumps it to the rest of the body. When an octopus swims, the heart that pumps to the body actually stops beating, which is why they prefer crawling to swimming. This fascinating marine creature also has blue blood, thanks to a copper-based molecule called hemocyanin, which helps them survive in low-oxygen environments.
