Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban arrived in Beijing on Monday for discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping, continuing his "peace mission," according to his press chief. This marks Orban's third unexpected international trip since Hungary assumed the European Union's rotating presidency in July, following visits to Ukraine and Russia. His Moscow trip faced criticism from allies, and Hungary's closer ties with China contrast with other EU countries' efforts to reduce dependence on the Chinese economy. Orban's visit to China comes ahead of a NATO summit focusing on further military aid for Ukraine amid Russia's ongoing conflict, and it led to the cancellation of a meeting between Hungary's and Germany's foreign ministers. Despite lacking an EU mandate, Orban defended his actions, asserting that meaningful peace efforts cannot be made from Brussels. 🇭🇺🇨🇳

Wow, Orban's been busy! ✈️ From Ukraine to Russia and now China, he's certainly racking up the miles. 🌍 His moves are stirring quite a bit of chatter, especially with the EU's cautious stance on China. Let's see how this "peace mission" unfolds! 🤔
