Parents Regret 📱: More Harm Than Good

A survey commissioned by Human Mobile Devices (HMD) revealed that many parents regret giving their children smartphones too early, with Australians typically doing so at an average age of 11. Half of the 10,000 surveyed parents, including 2,000 Australians, felt they should have delayed this decision. Concerns include negative impacts on personality and mental health, with 74% of Australian parents believing social media pressures their children, and 80% fearing exposure to stranger danger. To address these issues, HMD is developing a "child-friendly" smartphone, responding to a demand for devices that benefit children educationally without harming their well-being.
