Rainbows are actually full circles, but we usually only see the top half because the ground obstructs the bottom half. When viewed from an airplane or high vantage point, you can sometimes see the full circular arc of a rainbow! The circle is formed by the refraction, dispersion, and reflection of sunlight in water droplets, creating the spectrum of colors we see.
 
Yes, that's true! I've always wanted to see a rainbow in full circle. It would be an amazing sight to behold. 🥹🌈
