I personally prefer red velvet for Christmas and strawberry cake for Valentine's, but that is just me. I just think of Christmas as a "red" holiday and Valentine's Day as a "pink" holiday. Both cakes pair well with cream cheese frosting, although for Christmas sometimes I dye the frosting green.
Red velvet for Christmas and strawberry for Valentine's makes so much sense, especially with that delicious cream cheese frosting. The green-dyed frosting for Christmas is such a fun twist—festive and tasty!
