The world's most expensive spice is saffron. Saffron comes from the stigma of the crocus flower and is harvested by hand. It takes about 150 flowers to yield just one gram of saffron, making it labor-intensive and expensive. In fact, saffron can cost more per ounce than gold!

Who knew spice could be so luxurious? 🌼 Saffron is like the gold of the kitchen—hand-harvested from flowers and super rare. No wonder it costs more than gold sometimes! 💰 It's like cooking with a touch of luxury and a whole lot of history. Have you ever tried cooking with saffron?
