Second Female Boxer Involved In Gender Controversy Wins At Paris Olympic

Taiwan's Lin Yu-ting, whose gender identity has recently come into question, won against Uzbekistan's Sitora Turdibekova in the 57 kg round-of-16 match. Lin's victory was by unanimous decision, helping the boxer advance to the quarterfinals.

Like Algeria's Imane Khelif, who was also embroiled in gender controversy in recent days, Lin Yu-ting was reported to have failed gender eligibility tests at the Women's World Boxing Championship in New Delhi last year. Sporting officials claimed the two boxers registered a high level of testosterone.
