The early version of ice hockey used a variety of objects, including balls and rubber discs. 🏒 It was before the first standardized "puck" was introduced in the late 19th century. The first pucks were made from frozen cow dung, and they were later replaced by rubber. 🐮
 
I think it’s wild how something as simple as a puck has such a history! Though, I wonder—did the shape or size ever change over time? 🤔
 
From frozen cow dung to rubber—hockey pucks have come a long way, and I’m glad the cows didn’t have to keep contributing!
