The first fax was sent before the Civil War?!

So, get this – the first fax was sent in 1843, years before the American Civil War even started. How is that possible?? It was some early version of the technology, obviously, but it blows my mind how old that tech actually is. Anyone know of any other old inventions that seem way ahead of their time?

It’s crazy, right? The fact that fax technology dates back to 1843 is mind-blowing! Another old invention that’s surprisingly ahead of its time is the first automatic door, invented in ancient Greece by Heron of Alexandria. It’s wild how advanced some of these early inventions were!
