The Hexagonal Clouds of Saturn

One of the most fascinating phenomena in our solar system is Saturn’s hexagonal storm at its north pole. Discovered by the Voyager mission in the 1980s, this giant, six-sided jet stream is unlike anything else observed on other planets. The hexagon spans about 20,000 miles and is believed to be the result of atmospheric waves interacting with Saturn’s rapid rotation.
