So apparently, the microwave was invented when a guy named Percy Spencer was working on radar tech during WWII. One day, he noticed a candy bar in his pocket melted because of the microwaves from a magnetron. From there, boom—microwave ovens were born. Can you imagine your snack melting leading to one of the most used appliances ever? Talk about a lucky accident!
