Polaris, also known as the North Star, is a fascinating celestial object located nearly at the North Celestial Pole. It’s famous for its role in navigation, as it remains almost stationary in the sky while other stars appear to rotate around it. Polaris is part of the Ursa Minor constellation and is about 433 light-years away from Earth. Interestingly, it is actually a multiple star system, consisting of three stars: Polaris A, the brightest, and two smaller companions, Polaris B and C. Due to its position, Polaris has guided countless travelers and explorers throughout history, making it a symbol of guidance and reliability.
