Dark tourism sites in Eastern Europe, such as Chernobyl and Auschwitz, have seen a rise in visitors. My visit to these places was deeply moving and educational. The historical significance and the stories of resilience left a lasting impact. However, I noticed that some tourists were not respectful, treating these solemn sites as mere attractions. It’s crucial to approach dark tourism with sensitivity and respect for the history and people affected.
