There’s a fungus that eats radiation and thrives inside Chernobyl.

While everything else was dying from nuclear fallout, this fungus (Cryptococcus neoformans) looked at the radiation and said, “Mmm, snack.” Scientists are now studying it to see if it could help humans survive in space.
