Okay this blew my mind—there’s a town called Rjukan in Norway that’s stuck in a deep valley, and it gets literally no sunlight for half the year.
So what did they do? They installed huge mirrors on the mountainside to reflect sunlight down into the town square.
It’s called the “mirror project” and it tracks the sun to beam light like some Bond villain gadget—but for seasonal depression.
Has anyone seen this in person or know of other places that had to get creative like this?
