When children are chronically ill and unable to attend school, the separation from classmates can be just as challenging as the illness itself.

To help, Norwegian company No Isolation developed the AV1 robot, which serves as a child's eyes, ears, and voice in class, keeping them connected with friends.

The AV1 looks like a simplified human head and torso, rotates 360 degrees, and is equipped with a camera, microphone, and speaker. Teachers place it on a desk, while the student controls it remotely via an app using a unique password.
