On August 9, 2024, an ATR 72-500 plane carrying 61 people tragically crashed in Vinhedo, São Paulo state. The aircraft, operated by VOEPASS, was en route to São Paulo’s Guarulhos Airport when it plummeted into a residential area, leaving no survivors. This devastating accident, which unfolded in a gated community, has sparked a major investigation involving both Brazilian authorities and the plane’s manufacturer. The crash has not only brought immense grief but also raised critical questions about aviation safety. Our hearts go out to the victims and their families as we await further updates.
