Typhoon Ampil is causing major disruptions in Japan during the 'Obon' holiday. 
With winds up to 180 km/h, hundreds of flights and key bullet train routes, including Tokyo-Nagoya, have been canceled. ANA canceled 280 domestic flights, affecting 60,000 passengers, and Japan Airlines scrapped 191 domestic and 26 international flights, hitting 38,600 people.
