UN nuclear agency head Rafael Grossi recently visited the Kursk nuclear power plant in Russia, located close to the Ukraine conflict zone. Moscow has accused Ukrainian forces, stationed just 40 km away, of targeting the plant. With two of its four reactors still operational, the Kursk plant's safety has become a critical concern, especially after drone remnants were found near its spent fuel storage. Grossi stressed the importance of securing nuclear facilities to avert potential disasters amid the ongoing conflict.
