A United Nations investigation found that nine former employees of its Palestinian humanitarian agency, UNRWA, "may have" been involved in an October 7 attack and have since been dismissed. The probe, prompted by Israeli accusations, looked into 19 individuals accused of participating in the incident, resulting in dismissals for some in January and others later. While some accusations lacked sufficient evidence for immediate action, measures are planned. UNRWA, established in 1949 to aid Palestinian refugees, faces scrutiny amid allegations, impacting its funding and humanitarian operations, though it reaffirms commitment to neutrality and service provision despite ongoing challenges in Gaza. 🌍
