Aysenur Eygi, a 26-year-old American activist with dual Turkish citizenship, was fatally shot during an anti-settlement protest near Nablus in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. Eyewitnesses and Palestinian officials claim that the Israeli military, which admitted to firing at demonstrators, was responsible for her death. Eygi was volunteering with the International Solidarity Movement, and was reportedly hit in the head by live fire as the military responded to the protest. The US and Turkish governments are calling for investigations, while the situation in the West Bank remains tense following a recent large-scale Israeli military operation. 
His family must be going through an incredibly tough time. May his soul rest in peace.
