US executives have had a meeting with the Chinese government officials that included He Lifeng the current Vice Premier, to discuss economic and policy issues but their stand on the foreign policy regarding investment was somewhat ambiguous. Chinese officials mentioned the Third Plenum and its call for local innovation for American firms, but self-sufficiency was also mentioned with ambivalence. Two weeks ago, the surrender was led by representatives from Apple, Micron Technology and Goldman Sachs to gain more clarity to know the effect of the action to their organizations. China has been friendly towards the entry of competition from America, however the American executives are still guarded due to the current clashes between the two countries of America and China and the sluggish growth that is evident in the Chinese economy. The Future of US-China relations has still not commented on this issue, especially the US-China Business Council and China’s Ministry of Commerce.
