The national park officials stated that the well-known 190-million-year-old rock formation in southern Utah called the "Double Arch" has collapsed. 😢

The rocks that formed Double Arch were composed of fine-grained Navajo sandstone from the late Triassic to early Jurassic periods. 🪨

Thankfully, no one was injured when the rock formation crumbled. Park rangers commented that changing water levels and erosion may have caused the collapse. Ms. Kerns added that the rock formation may have been damaged by "manmade interventions" like global warming. 🌡️🌏
