Veteran sports journalist Chino Trinidad dies at 56

MANILA, Philippines — Veteran sports journalist Manolo "Chino" Trinidad has passed away at the age of 56. News of Trinidad's death surfaced on social media on Sunday morning. Initial reports pointed to a massive heart attack as the cause of his demise. Trinidad started his journalism career with DZRH in 1991. He served as commissioner of the defunct Philippine Basketball League from 2000 to 2010.​
