Water might not be wet

This is because most scientists define wetness as a liquid’s ability to maintain contact with a solid surface, meaning that water itself is not wet, but can make other objects wet.

Considering the properties of water, like its ability to dissolve substances and coat surfaces, some argue that water itself cannot be wet, but rather it makes other things wet. Though, this distinction can be subjective and philosophical. 🤷‍♂️🌊
