The viral “Wattah Wattah” reveler “Boy Dila'' has met with and personally apologized to the delivery rider he accosted with a water gun during the festival in San Juan City last month. In a social media post Friday, San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora said Lexter Castro personally extended his apologies to the rider at the San Juan City Hall on Thursday and gave him a helmet and a raincoat. The rider accepted the apology, the mayor said.“Nawa'y magsilbing leksyon ito sa ating lahat na parati tayong dapat magbigay ng respeto sa kapwa at huwag tayong gumawa ng anumang bagay na maaaring makasakit sa ibang tao, pisikal man o emosyonal,” Zamora said. (May this serve as a lesson to all that we should always give respect to other people and we should not do anything that can physically or emotionally harm them.) On Tuesday, the viral reveler issued a public apology in a press conference with the mayor and said that he wanted to personally say sorry to the rider. Mayor Zamora said he urged the delivery rider to go to the city which the latter did on Thursday.
