Fasting is practiced across various religions, but the reasons seem to differ. Is it spiritual discipline, a way to grow closer to the divine, or something else?

Fasting in religion is often seen as a way to cleanse the mind and body, grow spiritually, and deepen one’s connection with the divine, as it helps cultivate discipline and focus on what truly matters. 🙏✨

Fasting is such a profound practice! I think it’s a mix of all those reasons—spiritual discipline, deepening faith, and even fostering empathy for those in need. It’s amazing how the meaning evolves depending on the context and the individual.
