The idea of a world without Airbnb got me thinking about my past stays in various cities. In some places like New York, Airbnb offered a more affordable and homey option compared to pricey hotels. However, in cities like Barcelona, I saw firsthand the negative impact of short-term rentals on local communities, such as rising rents and neighborhood disruption. It's a complex issue, and while I enjoyed the convenience of Airbnb, I can understand why some cities are pushing back.
