What’s your go-to ingredient to add crunch to a salad that’s NOT croutons?

Okay, I love croutons, but I’m in this phase where I want to experiment with other crunchy textures in my salads. I’ve tried roasted chickpeas, sunflower seeds, and even crispy shallots. I’m curious—what do you throw in for that extra crunch that’s a bit out-of-the-box? I’m always on the hunt for new textures to play with, and I feel like there’s some secret ingredient I’ve been missing out on.

I totally get you! Croutons are great, but it’s fun to mix things up with different crunchy toppings. Have you tried adding toasted coconut flakes? They add a unique sweetness and crunch that can really elevate a salad! 🌴 Another idea is using crispy seaweed snacks—so tasty and give a nice salty kick. You could also experiment with spiced nuts like pecans or walnuts for an extra flavor boost. Let me know what new textures you discover! 🥗✨
