What’s your take on Germany’s handling of its housing crisis?

I heard Berlin froze rents recently as a way to address skyrocketing housing costs, but there’s still a big debate about whether it's enough or even the right approach. How are people in Germany reacting to this? And do you think other cities around the world could learn from Germany’s approach, or is it just a band-aid solution?

Yeah, it’s definitely a big topic! 😅 The rent freeze in Berlin helped lower costs for some renters, but it’s caused a lot of issues too—like fewer available apartments because landlords pulled out of the market. People are divided, with some supporting the freeze as a temporary fix, while others think it doesn't solve the deeper problem of housing shortage. It’s tricky, right? Other cities might try something similar, but it’s not a perfect solution. They might need a mix of policies, like building more affordable housing alongside rent control, to really make a difference. 🏙️
