When you get a birthday or wedding cake, which is more important to you?

I see a lot of super fancy birthday cakes that have fondant icing. Fondant tastes terrible. But the cakes look pretty. So which do you prefer? A super pretty cake even if it takes kind of icky or a good cake that less fancy?

I totally get where you’re coming from. Fondant cakes look amazing but can be a bit hit-or-miss taste-wise. Personally, I’m all about a delicious cake with great flavor, even if it’s not as fancy. A well-made, tasty cake wins every time for me!
