🌍 WHO Pushes for Speedy Mpox Test Approvals Amid Global Surge

The WHO is fast-tracking the approval of mpox tests due to a rapidly spreading new strain. With around 1,000 suspected cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the virus reaching Sweden and Thailand, urgent action is needed. The WHO is calling for emergency submissions from manufacturers and plans to deliver 30,000 tests to Africa soon. Companies like Labcorp and Roche are also increasing their testing capacities to address the crisis.

Well, they should be. After all, it is to stop the further spread of the new mpox strain. But, while companies speed up the test approvals, I hope they won't compromise the results.
