Okay, random thought—let’s say it’s like 3 AM, and every world leader, military official, and emergency response person is deep in sleep. If something crazy happens (like aliens landing, because why not?), who actually makes the call? Is there some poor intern on night shift who just has to decide world affairs until the higher-ups wake up? Or do governments have some sort of official “we have a crisis, wake up the boss” protocol? Anyone know how this works?
