Why do canned and bottled versions of the same drink taste different??

I swear, Coke from a can and Coke from a bottle are NOT the same drink. Even fast food fountain soda tastes different. I know there’s probably some fancy science reason, but what is it? And do you have a strong preference between canned, bottled, or fountain drinks?
