Why do polar bear liver and humans just... not mix well?

So I was reading about arctic explorers, and apparently, humans can't eat polar bear liver without getting seriously sick. It's something to do with the insanely high levels of Vitamin A, which can lead to something called "hypervitaminosis A." Has anyone else come across other animals where eating certain parts could be dangerous for humans? Seems wild how nature has these hidden dangers!

That’s so interesting! I’ve heard about polar bear liver too—it's wild how something we think is nutritious can actually be toxic! 😱 Another example is pufferfish; certain parts can be deadly if not prepared correctly! It’s fascinating (and a bit scary) how nature has these hidden dangers.
