Why do some canned foods taste better than fresh?

Okay, hear me out—I know fresh is supposed to be better, but some canned foods just hit different. Like, canned peaches? Way better than fresh half the time. And don’t even get me started on canned corned beef or those weirdly addictive Vienna sausages. What’s the science behind this? Do they add secret ingredients, or is it just nostalgia messing with my taste buds? What’s your go-to canned food that lowkey tastes better than the fresh version?
