Why do some countries ban popular apps while others embrace them?

Hey everyone, I was reading about a country banning a super popular app due to “security concerns,” but it’s still thriving elsewhere. Why do governments have such different stances on the same apps? Is it just about data privacy, or are there deeper political or economic reasons behind these decisions? Would love to hear your take on this!

I think it’s a mix of data privacy concerns, geopolitical tensions, and sometimes even economic strategy. Some governments might see these apps as tools for influence or potential security risks, while others might view them as opportunities for innovation or connectivity. It’s fascinating how tech can become a chess piece in global politics!
