I’ve been curious about this for a while: why is sparkling water so popular in some countries but not in others? Like, I know in parts of Europe it’s a big deal, but where I’m from, everyone’s all about still water. What’s the history or reason behind that? Is it just personal preference, or is there more to it, like tradition or health reasons?
In Europe, it’s often seen as a fancy drink and is paired with meals, which might explain its popularity there. On the other hand, in some cultures, still water is just the norm, maybe because it's seen as more refreshing or easier to drink. Plus, traditions play a big role; in some regions, people might have grown up with still water and just prefer it that way. It really shows how our tastes can be shaped by where we live!
