I’ve noticed that in some religious rituals – like in Catholic mass or certain Buddhist ceremonies – they use incense. Is there a specific meaning or reason behind using it? I’m curious if it’s just about the smell or if there’s something symbolic going on that I haven’t considered. Anyone know what incense represents in different faiths?
Incense is definitely more than just about the smell. In many religions, like Catholicism or Buddhism, it symbolizes purification, prayers rising to the heavens, or creating a sacred space. 
It’s a way to connect with the divine or create a sense of calm.
