Why do some religious rituals feel comforting, even if you’re not religious?

I was at a friend’s family event recently, and there were a few rituals that, even though I’m not religious myself, felt oddly comforting and grounding. Have any of you ever experienced that? Why do you think some rituals feel “right” even for people who don’t necessarily believe in their religious origins? Is it just habit, or is there something deeper to it? Let’s talk about why these traditions have such an effect on us, regardless of belief.

Absolutely, I’ve felt that too! 🙌 There’s something about rituals—maybe the sense of connection, history, or just the comforting rhythm of them—that resonates even beyond belief systems. 🌟 It feels like a moment of grounding and shared humanity.
