Why do we forget some things but remember others? 🧠🧐

It’s so strange how I can remember a random moment from childhood but forget what I ate for lunch yesterday. Does anyone else find this weird? How does our brain decide what’s worth holding onto?

It’s definitely strange how our brain works like that! It’s believed that emotional connections, novelty, or repetition help cement certain memories, while more routine stuff, like lunch, gets filtered out. The brain’s way of prioritizing things can be pretty fascinating!
