Teenagers tend to feel sleepy later at night and struggle with grogginess in the morning because melatonin, the hormone that makes us tired, is released later and sticks around longer in their brains. Despite this, their growing brains need a ton of sleep—up to 9-10 hours, which is about as much as toddlers need! The amount of sleep teens get can have a direct impact on their GCSE grades, so it's super important for parents to help them hit that sleep goal.
