History is full of weirdness—like that time Austria declared war on itself and actually fought for a day. What’s the most "wait… WHAT?" historical event you’ve come across?
 
The Great Emu War in Australia always gets me—imagine a military operation where soldiers with machine guns lost to a bunch of flightless birds. Nature really said, 'Not today!'
