Backyard Patio Ideas in Beaverton – Anyone Worked with a Local Contractor?

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about upgrading my backyard here in Beaverton with a proper concrete patio. Right now it’s just a small gravel area with a few chairs, but it’s not very comfortable, especially when it rains. Last summer I tried laying some pavers myself, but after a few months they started shifting and weeds came through the gaps. So now I’m considering a solid patio instead. Has anyone here hired a local contractor for a patio project and been happy with the result?

I actually finished a patio project last year and had a good experience. I ended up working with a Patio Contractor I found through this concrete contractor in Portland OR. They mainly work around Beaverton and Portland and focus on residential concrete projects like patios, walkways, and driveways. What impressed me was how much planning they did before pouring the concrete—checking drainage, leveling the base, and explaining how the curing process works. The patio turned out smooth and durable, and we’ve already used it for a few family gatherings.

Patios really change how a backyard feels. A couple of houses on my street added concrete patios recently, and it made their outdoor spaces look much more finished and usable. It’s interesting how something simple like a flat slab can turn into a nice spot for relaxing or hosting friends. Definitely a project I’ve been considering myself someday.
