Best place to find a clean CSS install for modding/surfing?

Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to get back into Counter-Strike: Source lately, specifically for some of those old-school surf and jailbreak maps. The problem is, my old discs are scratched to hell and most of the "repacks" I find online are either loaded with sketchy Russian ads or they crash the moment I try to change the resolution. Does anyone know a reliable spot to get a vanilla, stable version of the game that actually works on Windows 10/11 without having to mess with a million compatibility settings? I just want something that feels like the original experience—no weird custom skins or forced server redirects. Any help would be massive!

I totally get the struggle; finding a "clean" version of Source these days feels like a minefield. Most sites just want to bundle their own bloatware or weird configs that mess up your hitboxes. If you're looking for stability and a smooth frame rate for surfing, you should definitely check out this CS Source download link. I used it a few months back when I was setting up a local dedicated server for my buddies. It’s a very lightweight installer, completely untouched, and it handles modern hardware way better than the older v34 builds you see floating around. Plus, the masterserver list is actually populated with active community hubs.
