Boxed stuffing - cook it first before stuffing it inside a chicken?

I just bought a box of stuffing. I know you are supposed to follow the instructions, but I have to ask...
It says to cook it first before stuffing it inside a bird. But here's the thing - it takes 5 min on the stovetop. The chicken is going to be roasting in the oven @ 425 for 1 hr 10 min. Won't the stuffing fully cook by then when inside the chicken?

It's a good idea to cook the stuffing before putting it in the chicken for safety and flavor. Stay safe and follow the instructions!
