Regarding the celebration of Eid’l Adha for the Muslim community of Cebu, the same source, an Islamic scholar of Cebu known as Ustadz Najeeb Razul mentioned that it is typical practice in Cebu that Muslims share meals with other people regardless of whether they are Muslim or non-Muslim, during this specific period of time. This is also known as the Feast of Sacrifice and the celebration is done through giving and sharing because of the faith of Ibrahim. They took the lives of four cows and forty goats in Minglanilla, and the parties were open for anyone and everyone. Razul pointed out that all the mosques, suraus, and praying places in Cebu served food, even the slaughtered cow, goat, and chicken not only to Muslims but also to other people in the society. He emphasized on the need to stick together, avoid fighting and merry making as a sign of togetherness.
