The Delhi High Court is also likely to announce its decision over the Enforcement Directorate petition to restrain AAP leader and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from securing bail at 2. 30 pm on Tuesday. The HC had earlier on Friday (June 21) stayed the trial court order in the Delhi CM’s bail petition while keeping the order on the matter pending. Kejriwal, who was arrested on March 21st on charges of money-laundering, was later released on bail by a city court on Thursday (June 20th). After this, the ED had moved the Delhi HC for a stay on the bail order passed to Mallya.
On the same token, while the Supreme Court Monday said it will hear on June 26 Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s plea challenging the High Court’s decsion to stay the bail granted to him by a special judge in the exice policy case. “If meanwhile a High Court passes an order then that order must be brought on record,” said the court.
