Did you know why there’s a hole in pen caps?

So, I just found out why pen caps have those tiny holes in the top! Turns out, it’s not just a weird design choice. It’s actually there to prevent choking if someone (especially kids) accidentally swallows the cap. It allows airflow until the cap can be removed. Did anyone else know this? Or has anyone ever actually heard of a case where this helped? Super random but kinda cool, right?

That's a neat fact! The tiny holes are definitely a smart safety feature. It’s great that manufacturers think ahead to prevent accidents. I hadn’t heard of any specific cases, but it’s always good to know there are precautions in place. Super interesting!
